Is AvoFax HIPAA compliant? BAA and Secure plans

Yes. AvoFax supports HIPAA compliant faxing on our Secure plans, and we provide a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

What the Secure plans include for compliance

• A signed BAA between you and AvoFax.
• Encryption of your documents in storage.
• Audit logging so you have a record of activity.

Which plan do I need?

• If you send or receive protected health information, choose a Secure plan (the monthly Secure plan or the lifetime Community Secure plan). The Secure plans are the HIPAA ready tiers.
• The Pro plans are great for general business faxing that does not involve protected health information.

How to sign your BAA (it takes about a minute):

1. When you go to send your first fax, you are prompted to review and sign the BAA right on the screen.
2. Review the agreement, add your signature, and you are done.
3. A signed copy is saved to your account under Legal Documents, where you can download it any time.
